Who are your instructors?

We’re Adriana and Ana, Neuroscience graduates from City, University of London, UK. We learned to code in MATLAB when working on our final-year dissertations and interning in decision-making and visual labs.

When we started our Master’s course in Clinical, Social and Cognitive Neuroscience, we had no idea that programming is a must-have skill in neuroscience research.

We had zero coding experience and we hadn’t learned much in class.

After reading textbook after textbook, watching all YouTube videos out there and asking for help from experienced programmers, we finally learned how to code experiments in MATLAB and want you to be able to do the same!


Are there any course requirements or prerequisites?

  • No coding experience is needed, some experience working with Excel or SPSS would be beneficial.

P.S. you need to download MATLAB software on your computer as well as Psychtoolbox (this is not covered in the course but the relevant download links will be provided)
